When it comes to their post-harvest value, not all trees will command the same prices. The post-harvest value of a log is dependent on its end-use. For example, saw-logs will fetch a higher price per tonne than pulpwood or chipping wood. Even within the same log, some parts of the wood are more valuable than others and yield different end products.
