Notification of planned protest action submitted to Nedlac
COSATU submitted a Section 77(1)(b) notice to NEDLAC on behalf of Organised Labour COSATU, FEDUSA and NACTU intending to protest because the government has not addressed the public transport challenges related to Covid-19 and generally adequately, to ensure a safer transport sector. The forms of protest action will involve a socio-economic strike which is planned to commence at 00:00 and end at 24:00 on 07 October 2020. Shift workers will be away for the duration of one whole shift and it will be the shift that has the majority of hours on the day in question.
