My job entails ensuring optimal health of employees to make sure employees are fit specific tasks as per their job descriptions. I am responsible for identification and management of any adverse health effects arising from the workplace conditions as well as management of the Primary health program for the employees.

WHY I LOVE WORKING IN THE FORESTRY SECTOR
People in the forestry space are professional yet very warm, welcoming, respect one another and engaging. For me to reach all the Mpumalanga forestry spaces I am required to travel which gives me time reflect and re-align my work plans with my objectives while enjoying the scenery of the forest. Forestry empowers its employees holistically e.g. 8 life saving rules which should be applied in the workspace as well as at home, as a mother I have managed to teach my children as health and safety goes hand in hand utilising such knowledge.

MY ADVICE TO THOSE EXPLORING A CAREER IN FORESTRY
They need to go for it, more women are needed in the Forestry space to bring their nurturing qualities and be part of an innovative company that always empowers it employees and communities at large.
